A coach that knows your dog's walks.
Ask it anything about your walking and your dog. It answers with your real streak and your dog's name in view, can set the reminder or start the walk for you, and knows exactly where its job ends and your vet's begins.
30 free messages a month. Up to 300 with Hapoo+.

Why it matters
Generic dog advice doesn't know your dog.
Most of what you'd want to ask comes up out on the walk — and the best answer depends on the dog, the weather and the week you've had.
The questions come mid-walk.
It's raining sideways, it's 28 degrees, she's pulling again, he's slowing down. Those are the moments you'd ask someone who knows dogs — not the moments you sit down to search.
Search results don't know your dog.
A forum answers for every dog at once. The coach answers for yours: a spaniel on a nine-day streak, not a hypothetical one.
Advice usually stops at the advice.
The coach can set the reminder, start the walk or trace the route while you're still reading its reply.

It knows your walking
Answers with your real numbers in view.
Every question goes with a short summary of your walking: your streak and your best ever, today's walks and distance, your all-time days out, your level, and your dog's name — plus size and breed, if you've added them.
When it needs more than that, it looks it up before answering rather than guessing — how close you are to a badge, for instance. And it never invents facts about your walks or your dog.

It does things, not just says them
Ask, and it can set it up for you.
When it genuinely helps, a reply ends with one offer you can take with a tap:
- Start a walk now.
- Set a daily walk reminder, at a time that suits you.
- Trace your route on the next walk.
- Remind you when a booster jab, a checkup or a flea and worm treatment is due — only ever from a date you've told it, never one it made up.
- And you don't need to open the app at all: ask the coach through Siri or the Shortcuts app.

It speaks first
A nudge at the right moment, never a nag.
Subscribers can get the occasional evening notification when there's something worth saying: a streak that needs a walk today to keep going, a badge that's most of the way done, the next level a few points off — or, after a quiet week, “No pressure — the door's just open.”
They're plain lines we wrote ourselves in Hapoo's voice, not something an AI made up unsupervised on your lock screen. And a missed day is never held against you.

It knows dogs
Thirty-three breeds, and the questions every owner asks.
The coach carries a curated guide to 33 common breeds — Labradors, Border Collies, Dachshunds, French Bulldogs, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and more — and 21 everyday topics:
- How much walking is about right, and building up distance gradually.
- Loose-lead walking, recall, and meeting other dogs on the lead.
- Hot days, cold and wet ones, and coat care after a muddy walk.
- Walking a puppy, walking an older dog, and reading a stressed dog versus a relaxed one.
- The general routine for vaccines, checkups, fleas, ticks and worming.
- Choose how it talks: as Hapoo himself, in two or three sentences, or as a straight-talking coach, in a short plain paragraph.

It knows its limits
When it's a vet's job, it says so — straight away.
Anything that sounds like an emergency gets one answer, without hedging: ring your vet or an emergency clinic now. Questions about poisons, toxic foods, medicines or doses are answered on your phone with a pointer to your vet, before anything is sent anywhere.
For everyday worries it will actually help — calmly, in general terms, with a clear sense of when it's time to get them seen. It never names a diagnosis for your dog, never suggests a medication or a dose, and always leaves the examining to your vet.

Privacy
What it sees, and who else does.
Your question, the recent conversation (up to the last eight messages) and that short walking summary go through Hapoo's server to Google's Gemini, which writes the reply. Never your location, your routes or your photos, and never your device ID. The app asks your permission before the first message is sent, and you can withdraw it any time in Coach settings. Questions
About the coach
- Is the coach free?
- Yes — every Hapoo user gets 30 coach messages a month. Hapoo+ raises that to up to 300, with more conversations, a more capable model and the occasional evening nudge.
- Is it a vet?
- No. It helps with everyday questions about walking and caring for your dog, and sends anything serious straight to your vet. It never diagnoses your dog or suggests a medication or dose.
- Does it know my dog's breed?
- If you add it in Settings, yes. It's used as a hint for general, well-known breed traits — never to diagnose anything.
- What does it send, and to whom?
- Your question, the recent conversation (up to the last eight messages) and a short summary of your walking go through Hapoo's server to Google's Gemini, which writes the reply. Never your location, routes or photos, and never your device ID. The app asks your permission before the first message is sent.
- Will it nag me?
- No. It never mentions a missed day. Evening nudges are for Hapoo+ subscribers who've allowed notifications, and only when there's something genuinely worth saying.
